About this project:
This project was so fun and multi-faceted. The owners inherited a property with a beautiful but dated coy pond (and a bird sanctuary house seen in the background), as well as a half finished pool shell…as well as a garden that was poorly maintained over the years.
The pond was previously finished with a mishmash of stone. We reworked this to a modern steel pond with a floating deck. We replaced the pump, added new pond liner, etc. The deck also serves as a connective corridor between two sides of the yard that previously felt aloof. The old garden new wraps the bid house (now a greenhouse of sorts) and the pond.
Where the pool shell was never fully finished, we added a white stucco shower, with bespoke copper and brass fixtures and a perforated steel door.
The entire limestone pool deck and stones cladding the side were meticulously scrubbed with bleach and sealed. I love the teak Adirondack chairs the client selected for the pool deck (from neighbor).
